    Corneal Topography in Children

    Pediatric Ophthalmology Subspecialty Day 2018
    10:45
Diagnostic & Screening, Pediatric Ophth/Strabismus, Trauma

This video discusses 3 main fields for applying corneal topography in the pediatric age group:

    • Medium-to-high astigmatism screening
    • In cases of systemic disease, examination related to corneal ectasia development risk
    • Clinic evaluation of surgical indications in case of corneal morphology irregularities

In selected pediatric patients, topographically guided refractive surgical approaches can be evaluated to correct high irregular astigmatism, improve anti-amblyopia treatment, and avoid more complex procedures.
