This instructional video illustrates the basic surgical technique and principles of cultivated limbal stem cell transplantation, a promising treatment modality in the management of severe ocular surface disease resulting from limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD). The procedure significantly minimizes the risk of iatrogenic LSCD in the donor eye. The results of autologous cultivated limbal stem cell transplants are particularly encouraging, allowing banking of the patient's cells for repeat procedures.
