• LACS is growing, despite difficulty in demonstrating refractive superiority.
• There is too much noise in IOL calculations.
• Contralateral comparison studies are best suited and have shown the refractive benefit of LACS as they minimize effects of uncertain ELP. 
• There are many benefits to LACS beyond the refractive outcome that make it better than traditional cataract surgery.
• There is no additional cost to Medicare or private insurance; the cost is supported by patient-self pay.
