In this presentation from Pediatric Subspecialty Day 2016, Dr. Elias Traboulsi shares his technique for strabismus surgery in patients diagnosed with thyroid eye disease (TED). It involves (1) fully relieving the restriction in each recessed muscle rather than trying to match the restriction in the contralateral eye, (2) operating through a forniceal incision, and (3) suturing the muscle to the globe with the eye in primary position rather than attempting to match the intraoperative eccentric position of the contralateral eye.
