    A new surgical technique using instruments well known to ophthalmologists is proposed to treat the breakage of the iris sphincter secondary to a blunt trauma of a 50-year-old woman. This new surgery reduces the iris dilation, allowing the normal iris to function and avoiding secondary damage of the crystalline lens.
