Silicone Oil Removal: The Final Hurdle

Silicone oil is an important adjunct during vitrectomy and requires removal. This video presents use of a 3-port pars plana approach for silicone oil removal through wide-angle viewing systems. The authors also demonstrate various adjunct procedures such as cataract surgery, membrane removal, subretinal oil removal, and endolaser. Steps to reduce risk of redetachment are also discussed.
