This video series provides an overview of the most relevant topics on corneal and lens-based refractive surgery, including patient evaluation, topographic evaluation, a step-by-step surgical explanation of LASIK and surface ablation procedures, discussion of surgical complication recognition and management, and decision trees for choosing appropriate premium IOL candidates and managing complications unique to these individuals. This provides a basis for members in training to grow their knowledge base and gain comfort in practicing independently after graduation. The course was an interactive didactic session led by recognized experts and international leaders in the field of refractive surgery specifically directed at the resident education level.
