    AAO 2015
    Comprehensive Ophthalmology

Combined meeting with the Vision Rehabilitation Committee

It also states that technological advances that improve the functional capabilities of these patients are rapidly expanding in availability, accessibility, affordability, and ease of use, but the speed with which these advances are occurring also makes it difficult for attendees to stay abreast of the options available to their patients. Currently, ophthalmologists rely on the traditional outlets for medical treatment and device information available in the scientific literature. However, many of the newest technological advances are occurring in nonmedical ventures, yet are being adapted for vision-rehabilitation purposes. By the end of this video, viewers will be able to identify and recommend specific vision rehabilitation devices that are now available as a result of recent technological advancements and applications.
