To Tack or Not to Tack: Argus II Retinal Tack Complications

    AAO 2020 Video Program
    Retina/Vitreous

We have performed the implantation of the Argus II in 20 patients who presented with an advanced form of retinitis pigmentosa during the period of 2013-2019. Tacking is probably the most critical step of the surgical procedure and can be associated with complications. However, patients performed visual tasks better after surgery, even with complications. This video will demonstrate our procedures, solved complications and recommendations.
