    Transconjunctival Lower Blepharoplasty and Resurfacing

By Richard D. Lisman, MD, FACS
    Annual Meeting 2013

The options for middle-aged patients presenting with photoaging and some mid-facial edema are many. Although some patients may need multiple, invasive procedures, Dr. Richard Lisman makes the case for a “less is better” approach because many in this patient population have some degree of lymphatic stasis that accounts for their eyelid edema. In his 2013 Oculofacial Plastic Surgery Subspecialty Day presentation, he demonstrates the appeal of transconjunctival blepharoplasty by discussing the negatives associated with more complex, invasive procedures in this population.
