Traumatic MH: Diverse Clinical Presentations Treated With the ILM Flap Technique

    AAO 2020 Video Program
    Posterior Segment Trauma, Retina/Vitreous

Demonstrating various clinical presentations of traumatic macular hole (MH), beginning with large MH and MH coexisting with epiretinal proliferation diagnosed with lack of staining in the perifoveal area or subretinal fibrosis. The inverted internal limiting membrane (ILM) flap technique or temporal ILM flap technique was used. Surgical results are presented on spectral domain or swept source OCT and/or swept source OCT angiography. Closure rate depends on MH size and closure type. MH with minimal diameter >1500 µm, achieved partial closure.
