In this case discussion from Neuro-Ophthalmology Subspecialty Day 2011, Dr. Byron Lam presents a case of an asymptomatic 56-year-old man with unilateral optic disc edema referred for evaluation. Funduscopic examination revealed a hyperemic swollen optic disc OS with blurred margins. OCT showed increased retinal nerve fiber layer thickness OS. The patient is followed for 3 years and subjected to regular imaging studies to monitor the disc. He is finally diagnosed with an anomolous optic disc with pseudoedema.
