    The goal of orbitotomy surgery is to provide the best surgical exposure, the least surgical trauma to orbital structures, and good cosmesis for the patient. Orbitotomies are categorized according to their unique technique. The vertical lid split orbitotomy allows us direct access to lesions located in the superonasal region, present in the intra- and extraconal compartments. We illustrate the relevant anatomy and demonstrate the surgical steps that make the vertical lid split orbitotomy a versatile and easy-to-learn procedure.
