    Retina/Vitreous

Visco-surgery has proved to be very useful in the vitrectomy for preretinal membrane peeling but especially in the tractional retinal detachments secondary to proliferative diabetic retinopathy. We present the advantages of visco-surgery with viscoelastics dyed with blue membrane .With its colouring we obtain a map of the posterior hyaloid adhesions to the fibrovascular proliferations. By means of that it can be clearly seen the degree of separation between the membranes and the retina, which makes the surgery safety margin increase.
