There are number of IOL fixation options in the absence of capsular support. Techniques requiring trans/intrascleral suturing/fixation of IOL haptics are limited by the fact that actual fixation done behind the iris is a blind procedure. This video uses imaging techniques (posterior viewing, ultrasound biomicroscopy) to determine the exact location of IOL sutures/haptics and proximity to iris and ciliary body in vivo and vitro.
