Hotel Door Drop
Provide a custom piece for this effective and convenient marketing tool that delivers promotional material, invitations, announcements, etc. to the hotel rooms of AAO 2023 attendees. There is no better way to directly put your message into attendees' hands in San Francisco.
The Academy's official contractor, Convention Communications, will:
- Coordinate logistics with each hotel.
- Deliver your materials to each hotel.
- Be on-site to ensure that your literature is distributed on schedule.
For additional impact, brand the door drop bag. One sponsorship is available each night.
Benefit from the cost savings of a shared door drop service or explore options to deliver special items (with Academy approval) to hotel rooms.
Distribution/Media Reach
Materials will be delivered on your choice of nights: Thursday, Nov. 2 or Friday, Nov. 3. Drops are made to all attendees’ rooms staying in official Academy hotels.

Restrictions
Only AAO 2023 exhibitors may reserve Academy annual meeting-related marketing opportunities.
Artwork Pre-Approval Deadline
All advertising must be pre-approved by the Academy before it is produced. Email artwork to Taylor Medina, exhibition specialist, for pre-approval: tmedina@aao.org.
Final Materials Deadline
Items need to arrive by Oct. 18.
Shipping address is TBA.
- Label the boxes as follows: 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.
- Have the printer list on the outside of each box the quantity of materials in the box.
- Forward the tracking information to Tom Marshall (tom@doordrop.com).
