  • Top AAO 2017 Courses for International Attendees

Every year, the Academy’s Regional Advisors Committee share the courses they think will have the greatest interest to ophthalmologists from their region of the world. This year they've chosen nearly 30 events through AAO 2017 in New Orleans, 11 to 14 November.

Recommendations often feature world-renowned speakers or reviews of ongoing clinical trials on topics important to all Academy members. As Dr. Enrique O. Graue Hernandez of Mexico writes about the course Current Management of Diabetic Retinopathy and Future Directions: 2017 Update, "Diabetic retinopathy is a serious public health threat worldwide. This course provides the fundamental tools to improve care of this very common pathology. Ophthalmologists worldwide will profit from this course. Dr. Das is an authority in this field."
