Standard Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK)

In this standard LASIK surgery, Dr. Gabriel Valerio uses a femtosecond laser to create a flap and then transitions to the excimer laser. A LASIK flap lifter scores the incision and then dissects the flap interface. Use of the femtosecond laser significantly improves predictability of the flap thickness, leading to a decrease in complications.
