Congenital Corneal Opacities in Hereditary Syndromes and Corneal Dystrophies
The mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and the mucolipidoses are disorders caused by abnormal carbohydrate metabolism. Affected patients present with corneal clouding. These conditions are discussed further in Chapter 8 of this volume and in BCSC Section 6, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
