Dr. Yalamanchili has been in private practice with Methodist Eye Associates in Houston since 2009. Her main interest is in neuro-ophthalmology, although she also sees private patients as a comprehensive ophthalmologist. Her clinical expertise includes optic neuritis and other optic neuropathies, myasthenia gravis, giant cell arteritis, diplopia, visual field defects and headache disorders.
Before returning to her hometown of Houston, Dr. Yalamanchili was in private practice in Rochester, N.Y., and served as a clinical ophthalmology instructor at Rochester General Hospital.
She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her medical internship at Albany Medical Center and her ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center in New York City. She was then selected for a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship with Arthur H. Wolintz, MD, at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center.
