Dr. Ashley Brissette is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, specializing in dry eye and corneal diseases. In addition to being an active and accomplished researcher and lecturer, she has contributed extensively to the ophthalmic literature, authoring numerous peer-reviewed papers, textbook chapters, original articles and scientific presentations. She has presented at national and international conferences, and has also completed many medical missions internationally, volunteering with ORBIS and the Teaching Eye Surgery Foundation.
Born and raised in Canada, Dr. Brissette attended McGill University (Great Distinction) and received her medical degree and ophthalmology residency from Queen’s University. Her dedication to research then led her to pursue a masters degree in Biomedical Sciences with a subspecialty in Medical Education. She completed a fellowship in cornea, cataract & refractive surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.
