Dr. Elizabeth Palkovacs is an American and Canadian board-certified ophthalmologist, with subspecialty training in both neuro-ophthalmology and ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. She practices at the Northern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in the San Francisco Bay area, where she performs a wide variety of eye, eyelid, orbital and lacrimal surgery, with special interest in blepharoplasty and ptosis surgery, as well as Botox and facial fillers. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Palkovacs is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, the Canadian Oculoplastics Society, the International Council of Ophthalmology, and the California Medical Association. Dr. Palkovacs has presented clinical research at both the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, as well as the World Ophthalmology Congress in Berlin.
Dr. Palkovacs received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed her internship at the Hospital of St. Raphael, a teaching hospital affiliated with Yale School of Medicine. She returned to the University of Cincinnati to complete residency training in ophthalmology and fulfill her first fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology. Subsequently, Dr. Palkovacs completed a second fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at McMaster University in Toronto, Ontario.
