Dr. Crowell will be joining the faculty at McGovern Medical School as clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology and the Chief of Ophthalmology Service at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital at Harris Health. His areas of interest include inflammatory conditions of the eye, global health, and teaching. He is an active committee member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s ONE Network for Uveitis.
Dr. Crowell completed his Master of Public Health in management and policy at the University of Texas School of Public Health in 2012. He received his medical degree from McGovern Medical School in 2013 and completed his residency at McGovern Medical School in 2017 where he served as chief resident during his final year. He completed his fellowship in ocular immunology and uveitis at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins in 2018.
