Dr. Julian Perry is currently section Head of Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His specialty interests involve aesthetic and reconstructive oculofacial surgery, including cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), cosmetic forehead and cheek lifting, cosmetic Botox® injections, cosmetic facial filler injections, cosmetic oculofacial surgery, and all aspects ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He also specializes in lacrimal and orbital surgery.
He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, three-dozen book chapters and a textbook. He serves as an Executive Editor of the American Journal of Ophthalmology and on the Editorial Boards of Ophthalmic Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery and Ocular Surgery News. He has served the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as Program Chairman and Secretary of Meetings; the American Academy of Ophthalmology as Subspecialty Day Chairman; and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a consultant to the Ophthalmic Devices Panel.
Dr. Perry received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, and completed his residency at the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, where he won the Shipman Prize for best research paper. He completed fellowships at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, and at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA.
