Dr. Taban is assistant clinical professor at Jules Stein Eye Institute (JSEI) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and chief of oculoplastics at Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center in Los Angeles. He is also in private practice in Beverly Hills, Calif., and Santa Barbara, Calif.
Dr. Taban grew up in the Los Angeles area. After graduating summa cum laude from UCLA and medical school at the University of California, Irvine, he completed an ophthalmology residency at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, where he was selected chief resident. He then moved back to Los Angeles for a two-year oculofacial cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery fellowship at JSEI. He then pursued further fellowship training in cosmetic facial surgery under Dr. Ronald Strahan in Santa Monica, Calif.
