Advantages of Transcleral Approach In Selected Cases of Retinal Detachment

    6th Annual Global Video Contest

    Retina/Vitreous, Trauma

This is a case of recurrent RD (second time) with epiretinal and subretinal fibrosis in previously operated eye with SB / PPV and silicon oil (densiron). In this video I am demonstrating how to remove subretinal fibrosis through valved trocar to give access to remove subretinal bands without the need to create retinal holes. I also have the advantages of using diluted dye to identify invisible breaks responsible for the detachment which is clearly seen in this video.
