Canabrava Double-Flanged Technique and Aniridia

In this video, Dr. Stephen Khachikian uses the double-flanged technique first described by Dr. Sergio Canabrava on a patient with aniridia. He uses 5-0 polypropylene suture to implant an IOL and to fixate an artificial iris. First, he fixates the Akreos IOL in the sclera using the 4-flanged technique. Next, he uses the double-flanged suture at 3 points to fixate the artificial iris in the sclera.
