    Capsulorrhexis Under Irrigation

    01:52
    Cataract/Anterior Segment

In this video, Dr. Heba Al Sariji shows the steps for performing capsulorrhexis under irrigation. The main incision must be tight (<1 mm) to prevent leakage and to maintain stability of the anterior chamber when adrenaline is injected. During the main capsulorrhexis procedure, irrigation allows the anterior capsule flap to float freely in the anterior chamber, giving the surgeon full control over the flap.
