    In this case, the iris cerclage suture unravels during mydriasis correction following phacoemulsification and IOL implantation. After the first suture, Dr. Michael Snyder splices a second 10-0 Prolene suture into the quadrant area that had unraveled. The ends are tied together with a triple throw followed by two single throws. Once they are joined, Dr. Snyder finishes the closing knot in the original location, achieving a good result.
