In this surgical video, Dr. Christopher Sales reviews the importance of modulating chamber depth to unscroll a DMEK graft. He also covers a few additional pearls for routine DMEK surgery: preplacing a peripheral laser iridotomy, the advantages of using a light pipe for visualization, preplacing a suture in the main incision, using a small bubble technique to adjust graft centration, reconstituting the posterior chamber volume with saline before final bubble titration to prevent posterior bubble migration, and titrating bubble size with a 38-gauge subretinal cannula and Barraquer style tonometer.
