A scarred, encapsulated bleb known as a "ring of steel" formed in a 51-year-old patient with open-angle glaucoma who underwent trabeculectomy with mitomycin C 4 years prior to presentation. Drs. Nurettin Akyol and Halil Ibrahim Imamoglu remove the bleb and close the opening with amniotic membrane, Tenon membrane advancement, and the conjunctiva.
