Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Posterior Capsulotomy for Capsular Block Syndrome

    8th Annual Global Video Contest
    04:26
    Cataract/Anterior Segment

Dr. Xian Hui Lim and colleagues use femtosecond laser to create a posterior capsulotomy in managing a case of capsular block syndrome several years after cataract surgery. This technique is minimally invasive, with a low risk of capsular bag or IOL damage, and is not limited by pupil dilation size, anterior capsular fibrotic adhesions to the IOL, or an obscured view of the posterior capsule in a distended capsular bag.
