Femtosecond Laser in Subluxated White Cataract

    8th Annual Global Video Contest
    03:47
    Cataract/Anterior Segment

Drs. Fernando González del Valle and colleagues demonstrate femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) for a case of post-traumatic subluxated white cataract. An eccentric anterior capsulorhexis is created to allow the temporal grasping of the capsular bag during phacoemulsification. A Cionni ring is then used to manage subluxation of the crystalline lens. Finally an IOL is implanted in the refixated capsular bag.
