    03:06
    Cataract/Anterior Segment

In this video, Dr. Gunjan Deshpande provides a method for fixing a leading intraocular lens (IOL) haptic when it gets twisted at the time of insertion during routine cataract surgery. Once the twisted haptic is discovered, viscoelastic is injected into the anterior chamber. Dr. Deshpande then uses a Sinskey hook to gradually nudge the IOL so that the leading haptic is back in the bag.
