Drs. Ehmann and Park demonstrate a case of optic pit maculopathy with associated serous macular detachment in an 11-year-old boy. After a failed laser procedure, they perform a pars plana vitrectomy, followed by creation of an internal limiting membrane (ILM) flap that is then draped over the optic pit. At 2 weeks postop, OCT images indicate significantly less subretinal fluid, and the patient’s vision improved from 20/60 to 20/50.
