In this video presented during the Retinaws symposium at the 2011 Annual Meeting, Dr. Gaurav Shah shares a case of submacular hemorrhage in which the internal limiting membrane (ILM) is peeled prior to injection of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Dr. Shah believes this maneuver allows easier access to the submacular space, especially in eyes with retinal scar tissue.
