In this video, Drs. Heather Stiff, Liang Cheng and Pavlina Kemp demonstrate an inferior rectus faden procedure on a patient's right eye. The patient previously underwent orbital fracture repair on the left eye, resulting in limited infraduction of the left eye and vertical diplopia in downgaze only. The faden procedure involves posterior fixation of the right inferior rectus muscle to shorten the moment arm and reduce rotational force as the eye moves into downgaze, which helps to match the motility deficit in the left eye.
