Initial Experience with Amniotic Membrane Graft in Persistent or Recurrent Large Macula Hole – Pearls and Pitfalls

We share a few cases of our initial experience of vitrectomy, amniotic membrane graft and gas for persistent or recurrent large macula hole. The video highlights what we learn and the mistakes we made. We also show different techniques to implant the amniotic membrane graft and to increase the chances of graft in-situ post surgery. In all the cases, the macula hole is closed post amniotic membrane graft.
