Iridodialysis Repair to Rehabilitate an Eventful Phacosurgery

    By Meda S. Ravindra, MBBS
    07:19
    Cataract/Anterior Segment

Dr. Meda Ravindra describes how he managed an eventful cataract surgery, including a posterior capsular (PC) tear and concomitant glaucoma and uveitis. Due to a break in the anterior hyaloidal face, vitreous material was trapped in the iris and lens. Once the glaucoma and uveitis were treated, Dr. Ravindra could then focus on the patient's aphakia, cortical leftovers, PC tear, and vitreous herniation. Eventually, a vitrectomy was performed.
