Myopic traction maculopathy can be challenging to treat. While vitrectomy surgery is the most commonly employed approach for symptomatic patients with worsening anatomy, macular buckling can yield excellent results. We present a case of a 58-year-old female with macular detachment that was repaired with the placement of a macular buckle, using the aid of both internal and external chandelier illumination.
