A 50-year-old male presented with aphakic macula-on retinal detachment with large glass foreign body (14x7x2 mm). During surgery, after pars plana vitrectomy, the foreign body was stuck to the retina. Liquid perfluorocarbon was used to prevent damage to the detached retina. Using chandelier illumination, the foreign body was removed bimanually through the scleral tunnel.
