Modified 3-Piece Scleral-Fixated IOL

This video demonstrates a modified method for scleral fixation of a 3-piece IOL. Drs. Reiss and Adenwalla tie 6-0 Vicryl suture to each haptic to facilitate haptic externalization. Because externalization of the haptic can be difficult at times using forceps alone, this method allows for easier externalization of the haptics even though it requires an extra step.
