Two well-known complications associated with implanting the Raindrop Near Vision Inlay (ReVision Optics) are decentration and haze. To reduce the risk of haze, Dr. Wiley inserts a sponge soaked with 0.02% mitomycin-C in the pocket for approximately 10 seconds, followed by irrigation with balanced salt solution. The nearly invisible inlay is stained with fluorescein to improve visualization before placement into the pocket, improving centration.
