Dr. Hisaharu Suzuki and colleagues describe the slit side view technique, in which a slit-lamp microscope is used to visualize the anterior chamber during cataract surgery. They demonstrate how this technique can be used to observe the movement caused by different pumps or OVDs, as well as movement of the nucleus inside the anterior chamber during surgery. This method will help surgeons better understand the properties and characteristics of OVD and fluid flow during surgery.
