    In this clinical video, Dr. Oluwatosin Smith describes several approaches for addressing  hard-to-close conjunctival openings following trabeculectomy or tube shunt placement. The different approaches to repair could be stepwise or a transition straight to the most appropriate option depending on the patient presentation. The desired endpoints of successful traditional glaucoma surgery are not only achieving IOP control (function) but also adequate conjunctival closure (structural integrity).
