Dr. Howard Fine has dedicated his life to teaching cataract surgery around the world. He has received the ASCRS Innovator’s Medal and has been honored for his achievements by more than a dozen ophthalmology societies worldwide. He was instrumental in helping design phaco machines and instruments for minimally invasive cataract surgery (MICS). He’s also served as president of ASCRS and The Intra-Ocular Implant Club. In this video, Dr. Fine performs MICS in an elderly male with a 2+ nuclear sclerotic cataract and a 2+ posterior subcapsular cataract.
