Dr. Dan Reinstein describes his use of LASIK to create modified monovision. His approach uses the inherent neuroprocessing capability of the human visual cortex to filter spherical aberration. He combines an increased depth of field with 1.5 D of micro monovision to achieve good near vision with lower anisometropia. His approach allows for binocular vision at all distances without comprosmising safety, vision quality, or stereoacuity.
