Re-suturing Akreos IOL During Implantation

Dr. Alok S. Bansal demonstrates his technique to rescue an inadvertently removed Gore-Tex suture during secondary implantation of a Bausch & Lomb Akreos IOL. The suture is re-threaded within the anterior chamber through the superior clear corneal wound, while the temporal sutures are held to stabilize the IOL. The sutures are then externalized through their corresponding inferior and superior sclerotomies.
