In this case from Drs. David S. Ehmann and Sunir J. Garg, a 32-year old aphakic female patient presents with a 6-year old Retisert implant that had dislocated and migrated to the anterior chamber. Pilocarpine is given pre-operatively to induce myosis and prevent posterior migration, and a 12 o’clock clear corneal incision is made. Amvisc is injected into the anterior chamber to position the implant and create space, before it is grasped and removed using MST forceps. The wound is closed with 10-0 Ethilon suture.
