This video demonstrates the concept of the reverse Argentinian flag sign, a complication first described by Bhardwaj et al. in the February 2018 issue of the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery. During capsulorhexis creation, an excessive anterior-to-posterior gradient from viscoelastic overfill can cause radialization of the anterior capsule. This complication is the inverse of the classic Argentinian flag sign that is related to lens intumescence.
